I am uncomfortable and in pain....

I hate dentists....

To any dentist reading this, please do not take that comment personally. I'm sure you are all very nice people..

Ok, I'll correct myself. I hate dentistry. Is that better?

I first had braces while I was in school. I hated it.

I had to take my right lower wisdom tooth out 3 years ago. The stupid dentist couldn't pull it out. When I started screaming in pain despite the anaesthetic injection which may numb the pain a bit but I could still feel it being pulled out, she said to me, "You are making this too difficult for me. I can't do this. I'm calling another dentist"

I am making it difficult for you?! Excuse me, if you can't do something, don't start what you can't finish.

She dropped that thing that you use to pull teeth out with and left me in the chair with a half dislodged tooth. I started crying and had no choice but to wait for the next dentist. In the meantime, the anaesthesia starts to wear off and I start to feel sick from the pain.

When the next dentist came, I needed another round of injections and again my tooth is pulled. ..and pulled...and pulled... "Your root is hooked. I need to cut into your gums..." So more injections, some cutting and finally the tooth is out. By the way, I was crying this whole time and my father ended up cancelling all his meetings and staying with me at this horrible dentist clinic holding my hand and wiping my tears.

When the ordeal was finally over, the swelling on the right side of my face was so bad I had to take very heavy painkillers and had to take MC for a week.

In recent years, my teeth have started to move again therefore they are not as perfect as they once were. I visited a few dentists and all said the same thing. I need braces again. I tried to find alternatives to avoid going through the pain again. Unfortunately, there were none.

Technology has improved since ten years ago so now you can get braces at the back of your teeth so they can't be seen. Considering my job, I have no choice but to put them in. It looks like this.

I went to put them him only yesterday.

First the dentist showed me x rays...

Then I was led into the room...

I saw these things and I started to feel sick. I don't understand myself. I can watch hours of CSI while eating and not feel sick, but a look at some x rays and medical instruments and I'm nauseaus.
I had to wear these glasses.

I survived the ordeal although I choked on my saliva cause the nurse wasn't paying attention to what she was doing, and also choked on the plastic thing they kept trying to put in my mouth to keep it open. I honestly almost started crying right then.

I survived and I was surpised I didn't feel much pain.

That was yesterday. Today and right now, my tongue feels swollen cause of the constant rubbing against the braces, I can't talk properly, I can barely eat, I can't chew anything so I am eating baby food and everything tastes like metal.

So I am not in a good mood...

I still went for the COACH event tonight though...

I wore a white MNG dress with my COACH necklace wrapped around my wrist and my one and only COACH bag.

I didn't find the new MADISON collection inspiring. Maybe I can't think straight cause of how uncomfortable my mouth feels.

The worst part is that only the top row has been put in! I have to go back next week to put the lower teeth braces in...

Then I think I will only speak when spoken to, communicate via sms and emails only and drink juices only...

To all the people reading this who have braces too, I know your pain. And if you have braces at the front of your teeth, you're lucky. It is really less painful than having them at the back of your teeth. I am going to become an expert on braces..Now that I have experienced both types...

Luckily my boys are behaving... It's very rare they can sit so closely together like this without Lord Derbyshire biting Tippex and kitty kat war begins....

Still remember when i was still in school, my language teacher Cikgu Amran told us not to go to a female dentist. Because usually female is not strong enough to pull out the tooth. Man is stronger, so less painful when he can pull it out easily. I think it's true. But i dont know *shrug*. And owh i hate dentistry, dental clinic etc etc lol

My friend was sort of chased out of a Coach store in kL. She's a coach lover and have heaps of coach bags she bought in Japan (cos she lives there), and wanted to buy one in Msia. Obviously the salesgirls thought she cant afford to buy them and they said to each other 'Watch her and make sure she didnt touch anything'. lol.

I understand the pain that u're gng thru. Its strange how the dentist told u later that your teeth root is hooked after they tried to pull it everything started. Wasn't it x-rayed before?

Anyhow, i took my braces 3 months ago. Now wearing retainer. Before wearing braces i had to pull out 4 wisdom teeth ie Upper & Lower far Left-Right.

To my suprise, while wearing braces for few years, another 4 wisdom teeth appeared out of the blue from the spot it had earlier taken out. Really didn't anticipate this.

Damn it, now have to go for another surgery. Another 4 wisdoms on the same spot. (sigh).
