Back at home now. Learning how to adjust and cope every few hours. Just my husband and I taking care of him and everything else. The advice 'sleep when baby sleeps' is so true!

Baby statistics
Despite all best efforts to have a natural birth, things didn't go as planned and we had to make the decision to have an emergency Caesarian because baby suddenly went into distress. The heart rate went very high and wasn't coming down. I have never been so scared in my whole life. Once decision was made within half hour I was in operating theatre and praying. I was so worried even then that maybe we were too late. But Alhamdullilah, baby was born safely and is doing well. The doctor later told me that during surgery she saw why baby was in distress and she had to really be careful and make an effort to get him out. His head was stuck in the wrong position so he couldn't move or progress with normal delivery so started struggling and the heart rate went up. Here are some baby statistics.
Birthday - 14th January 2011
Weight - 3.75 kilos (no wonder I was suffering!)
4 excited grandparents
4 aunties
2 uncles
3 cousins
2 happy, relieved, grateful and thankful parents
Picture and name of baby coming soon
Now I'm trying to learn how to breast feed and take care of myself too so I can recover from surgery as soon as possible. I am so thankful to whoever invented painkillers!

I was in the hospital overnight, it looked like it was time, then everything slowed down...
