readers in London...

To my readers in London,

Please email me at sasha_a_b@yahoo.com or leave comments as to some fabulous places to shop.

I know the usual places eg Harrods, Selfridges....

If you happen to know a huge store, the size of Harrod's where they sell Valentino Gowns, Dolce Gabbana suits, Christian Louboutin heels for 20 pounds each, tell me where it is!!!!

I know..... I'm dreaming...

Seriously, let me know, great places to shop for example designer warehouses, small lesser known boutiques...

I'll be waiting!

Don't forget, the pound is very strong compared to the ringgit, so stuff has to be cheap!

Thank you so much...

Hey Sasha,

Try finding outside London & later have it posted to your London mailing address perhaps.

Try browsing E-bay UK first for some very good (online or not) stores. They tend to sell new arrivals at very cheap price.

Then you will get the idea of where they got those items from before heading towards those places.

It's worth the browsing time compared to GBP=RM. :)

Have a nice day!

Hi Sasha,

I'm one of yr silent readers too. Going to London huh. Was living in London fr a while, now in Canada. London tak de warehouses like in North America. One place you should visit is Bicester Village. Its an outlet village. U can get Anya, Dior, Ferragamo, Tods and lots more there. Kalau nasib baik ada sale, very cheap. You can get Ferragamo cardigan fr £30. Check out the website. Its about 45mins-1hr frm the city. Enjoy London and do write about it.

Lots of designers shops there. 50% less than the normal price cause they're either out-dated or faulty.

Dearest Sasha,

emmmm almost impossible jugaklah cita -cita you to get such price for all the said brands in London. As for me, since I cannot afford the branded stuffs I go to this UK website http://www.asos.com/ to indulge myself with the latest style and fashion at affordable prices! soo love this website!! They haven't failed me yet!! I am sure u alrady know this-London offers quite number of vintage SHops and the fleemarket sometimes offer great suprises! oh I have a tip for you, I know u love all the beautiful couture dresses, I just read my Marie Claire UK magazine, there is THE GOLDEN AGE OF COUTuRE : Paris London 1947-1957, at Viktoria & Albert MUseum from 22 Sep onward, where u can see pieces by Dior, baleciaga, Balmian & Givenchy haute couture at its finest! Kalau ada masa kat London pilah tengok!!Have a good fun in London and salam Ramadhan!!

hi there. i love fashion too.

when in london for cloths, from lesser to wellknown designers, u must definitely go to covent garden, bond street & nottinghill or even the flea markets in camden town. i think you can get all sorts of style from funky to elegant to vintage.

don't forget also to check out the newly graduate fashion designers (who will mostly be in the flea markets); i think their designs can be quite unique.

have fun shopping! even if you may feel the gnawing pain from the exchange rate, good luck.

Hi Sasha..

I went for a trip to London and i got stuck at Piccadilly with amazing and i mean amazing sales!..if u are into medium priced items...then oxford street should do just fine..i bought lots and lots of sweaters which range 3-8 pounds only!! mind you, materials were good and off from good brands as well...as a stranger in a busy streets of china town, i learnt and enjoyed travelling by public transport...it's fun, indeed...oh Harrods btw, i didnt buy anything as it was over and beyond my budget..an umbrella it self costs 110 pounds..like rm770 for an umbrella??? hehehe...go to factory outlets..if im not mistaken, they do sell two items for a price of one..get ready and shop till you drop!!...

Hi ya.. yup, kray-zee innit the xchange rate! i remember when it was still RM3++ a quid in my uni years...

Anyways, my input on where to shop- should definitely try Bicester, and maybe also Freeport Braintree in Essex...great outlet shooping!

In central London itself - well, i LOVE Primark! U won't miss it..it's just outside the Marble arch tube station.. Andthose boutique shops - Bond Street of course.

Hmm...where else ar? Well u can shop anywhere there actually...i even bought a perfume at Superdrug! cheaper than the stores...hehe

Well, that's all i can think of at the moment really...

Happy shopping!
