As part of the Fiesta Fesyen Kuala Lumpur event held at the One World Hotel on Monday, I was invited to walk on the catwalk as part of the fashion show featuring creations by our very own Malaysian Designers. I am wearing a design by Aidawati.

Her Majesty Duli Yang Maha Mulia Seri Paduka Baginda Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Nur Zahirah's royal presence added elegance to the event.


And Nikki's powerful vocals blew everyone away.

GLAM anniversary event - Melium Galleria KLCC

Today at the melium Galleria at KLCC, GLAM magazine launched an exhibition of a collection of their covers in conjunction with their 5 year anniversary. There were so many familiar faces. I could not take photos of everyone, but here are some

I MET JASON KAY aka JAMIROQUAI !!!!

can you believe it?! I still can't!

I was having some lunch when I looked up from my plate and saw him standing in front of my table. I was introduced to him and immediately asked to take a picture with him.

He was so polite, obliging and very easy to talk to. And like his music, totally cool. My friend who is also a big fan asked him "When is your next album coming out?!". "November" he replied.

He loves fast cars and really enjoyed watching the race from the corner of the balcony.

I walked down to the pit area for the tour and couldn't resist taking a picture in front of the name of the best looking F1 driver.

Of course there were lots of cars being moved around. I bet these hard working team members really hate us tourists walking around the pit area, taking up space and with our cameras non stop taking pictures.

These guys look like they are waiting for something much more exciting to happen.

But THIS is my favourite car that is ALWAYS in the F1. THE SAFETY CAR!
Must be so cool to be a safety car driver.

Jason Kay was standing only a few metres away from me when I took this picture, and he was getting wet because of the rain, but he wouldn't move.

I don't actually know why that helicopter was there but it flew over my head many times.

some updates..

this morning i went to the dentist (again!) to put the braces in my lower teeth. so now the skin under my tongue hurts. great.... seriously, if you want to get braces, just get the outside ones! I also accidently bit the dentists finger cause i thought his hand was out of my mouth but it wasn't, choked on my saliva and had one of my teeth manually pushed by the nurse because it's slightly twisted while the dentist tightened the wire to straighten it. I should have bit them both then.

I wish I had the money to go and buy the new sally bag from chloe. that would make me feel better. Though I don't actually feel like going out cause my teeth hurt, i don't mind just holding it as i walk around the house.

What I should be doing is learning all of the complicated dance routines in the new tracey anderson dvd i received yesterday.

(one reader emailed me where did i get this dvd. I bought it online at her website. I can't find it in stores here in kl)

When I first watched the dvd, i could not believe how complicated it is. The routines are fast, non stop and there are 8 different combination sets. The mat workout dvd is much, much easier to follow.

i have no idea what i want to eat for dinner tonight...

Gucci Spring Summer

Yesterday I went to a private Gucci event at the pavillion. When I walked in, the first thing I noticed was the beautiful green dress worn by one of the models....

and the shoes! High heels just seem to be getting. well, higher!

The Spring Summer collection was kind of what I expected it to be... some nice prints, very wearable clothes, Beautiful shades of green and blue that was even used in the menswear.

Friend - Dia makan apa ah dapat kaki panjang macam tu?

Me - Entahlah... kalau I tahu, I pun makan sekali!

Friend - Baju cantik, tapi dengan harga baju ke bag ni, I boleh buat downpayment kereta!

Me - Sabarlah.... tunggu lah big sale...70% off ke.... that's what i always do!



None of the bags really grabbed my attention, i still like Gucci during the Tom Ford era the most!

I wonder if he will ever design womenswear again... anything is possible I suppose...

Oh, by the way, all of my fahionista readers.... remember the cool designer Phoebe Philo? She took over as creative director after Stella Mccartney at Chloe (she worked with Stella at Chloe while Stella was still creative director) and with her designs, Chloe became one of the most anticipated runway shows and collections every season. She resigned abruptly after her baby was born to spend time with her, but now...she's coming back! As head designer of Celine. Celine is a brand with not a very strong brand DNA, giving Phoebe Philo room to grow and revamp the brand. She was supposed to show her first show this March, but now we'll have to wait til Octoer to see what she does. I think she will still work with the flowy, casual chic look that she gave to chloe, but with a slightly more mature feel. She is after all a mother now and a working woman.

I heard Valentino in Starhill will be closing down... not sure how true this is... I also heard Chrsitian Louboutin will be opening a store here. Hmmmmm, not sure if now is a good time to do that, cause all the high end brands are feeling the pich of the economic recession. One of my friends who works at one of expensive design brands told me that last year, he could sell up to 20 bags a day, now he's lucky to do that in a week. Even if Louboutin does open up here, I don't actually know how well it will sell. Many people will want the shoes (including me!) but the prices are high. Jimmy Choo in KLCC I don't think is selling too well. I saw a whole wall full of shoes on 60% off and they still were not selling. Again, prices too high.

The prices of Anya Hindmarch bags I feel are becoming too high. At the rate she's going, in a few years, a bag may cost almost $10,000.

Warehouse sales, Ebay and second hand shops are still the best way to get you designer fix!

My baby Loco is a big boy!

I took Loco to see Hasnul, our dear vet on Sunday.

Hasnul - How old is he?
Me - Hmmmmm... about six months..
Hasnul - you sure?
Me - let me think...actually, 5 months... why?
Hasnul - He's big for his age..
Me - you mean he's fat?!
Hasnul - no, i wouldn't say fat...just big...
Me - so how?
Hasnul - it's ok for now... his growing might slow down, or he'll be a big cat...
Me - you mean fat?
Hasnul - no, just big..




So my little baby Loco might end up being the biggest cat in my house! That is going to cause problems! But he is such a sweet personality. Starts purring every time anyone pats him, still loves to be carried..he may look like an older cat, but he is still a kitten yang suka manja. :)

In Johor...

Tracy Anderson - the new celebrity fitness trainer

Have you noticed Gwyneth and Madonna's body lately?

Both their legs look amazing... long, lean, toned, defined, strong...

"hmmmmm...i wonder how they do it?" I thought to myself...

As I was reading various articles on the net, I found a key name that appeared - Tracy Anderson.

She is the woman both Gwyneth and Madonna credit for changing their bodies.

I used to be a real workout video junkie. While studying in Australia, I couldn't afford a gym membership so I bought various exercise videos (at that time is was still videos, not dvd!) and did them all the time in my small room at university. My favourites were the Cindy Crawford Shape you body video and the Ali McGraw video.

So when I found out that this Tracy Anderson woman has a workout dvd, I bought it straight away. I have done the exercises in the video two days in a row now. She says in the dvd you need to do it 4 - 6 times a week. I'm going to be really ambitious and see if I can do it everyday. It takes less than an hour to complete.

It is going to take a few weeks, maybe even months to see if it really works. She is a former dancer so I understand the principles of her method of working out.

Well, lets see....

new collections..

every day, i log onto style.com to see the latest pics from the fall winter 09 fashion shows...

and so far, i don't find any of the collections that exciting...

maybe i'm jaded or have too many other things on my mind at the moment.

There are a few new designers this season for a few familiar labels. Michael Dundas is with Pucci. He has given his first collection a real rock look and feel... i don't like it...

Fendi's collection not practical for our weather. Dior, Lanvin and Chanel all look similar to their previous collections...

Maybe this is a good thing. I don't feel like breaking my bank account to buy anything.

fever is gone.. now just a dry cough...which is just annoying...

some days i can't help but feel so down with everything that is going on. it costs money to do everything and anything in this world. but there is not a lot of money around at the moment. Everyone from big companies to individuals are really jaga duit at the moment. and my uncle in australia like many other victorians are struggling to rebuild their lives after the devastation of the fires.

just the other night while discussing a few projects with my best friend which all require sponsorship, we were thinking of different people or companies who may be interested.

"what about asking xxxxxx"

"hmmm, don' think so " i reply

"why not? doesn't the wife have like five birkin bags in different colours and makes regular shopping trips to london?"

"yes, but when it comes to helping out in projects like this, can be quite kedekut.."

"really?! so sad...."

yes it is sad.... there are times when i have been at private dinners and listen to the women talk about how busy they are... "tomorrow, i have to call the gardener, make sure my driver picks up dry cleaning, go for manicure and do my hair"..

wow... what hard work. when i hear things like that, i think of all my colleagues who work soooooo hard to earn a living for themselves and their families. the camera crew of tv3 who never cease to amaze me with how hard they work. carrying lights and equipment in both the rain and sun.

and for me, i am the biggest bargain hunter of designer items ever, thank god for ebay and second hand shops! and warehouse sales too! everything at full price is just ridiculously expensive.

and today, i have to organise a photo shoot and do more scripting for voice over this thursday, and prepare for a meeting on friday morning.

but as i have always believed, as long as i am alive and healthy (forget about the cough for a moment) I can do something with myself and my life. There is always so much to be thankful for.

Just can be so tiring sometimes how hard we have to work at everything. Don't you agree?

Alhamdullilah..

Meeting today and presentation received a positive response....although I did cough every now and then during the presentation.

Hope we can finalise everything in a few weeks.

And it was my Mum's birthday today and because I was away, and then really sick, langsung tak sempat belikan apa-apa. Must do that this weekend.

i am sick....soooooo sick...

Over the weekend, I was in Ayer Keroh Malacca for the first Jom Heboh location this year...

Yes it was hot and it rained very heavily both days...yes i got wet in the rain...

I thought I did everything I could to look after my self...wear a hat and carry an umbrella to protect from both sun and rain...

Somehow it didn't work... I woke up on Monday morning with an itch in my throat..then my chest felt sore... then I started to feel really hot...

By the time I got back to sri pentas, I knew I was sick, but i had no idea how bad it was going to get...

Yesterday (tuesday) I could not get out of bed. Then my bed became wet cause I was sweating so much... so i had to lie down on the sofa...the sofa became wet too... so i had to move to another mattress...

My head hurts, my chest is burning and I am soooo hot... My bathroom looks like a pharmacy with all the different medication I'm taking to get better. And tomorrow I have a very important meeting. The proposal needs to be finalised today and presented tomorrow.

And i was a bit dumb, I went to jom heboh with my camera, but with a flat battery and no charger..so clever kan?!

So thanks to Mr Manager there are a few picture on his blog which I'm going to use...

First thing we tried to do was take a picture of ourself. As you can see, tak berapa jadi.. :)

He then asked my opinion on Nubhan's look for the concert. I have always preferred men's shirts to be slightly rolled up. It looks casual yet chic, so I rolled up his sleeves for him..

After Konsert Jom Heboh, we went out for makan and I had a whole fish to myself. I really didn't realise how hungry I was. Vernon ate the head though. I don't make it a habit of eating anyone or anythings head.....

Now I need to rest again... I'm sweating like crazy again.... sigh, I hate being sick. Especially when there are things I want to do...
