With Natasha Kraal, editor of Harper's Bazaar Malaysia
With the ever stylish Natasha Kraal who was also carrying a really cool Fendi bag... I think it's called the secret code bag... Event titled 'Fashion In Focus' showcasing fashion photography from Harper's Bazaar is currently on display in Mid Valley The Gardens.

Stylist Kenneth Goh was of course at the event too and was wearing a Burberry suit, while I wore a Dior suit. I thought I would try a slightly different look than a dress for an event....
I asked Kenneth, 'Is my styling ok? I didn't want to look too military so tried to add a bit of glam factor to it..'
Kenneth replied... ' Nice, you did well, the earrings make the outfit..'
'I tried really hard not to have a red handbag cause i think it's a bit too matching-matching cause of the red stripe and also bit boring and predictable, but I don't have anything else that would go with it...' I continued
'I can understand why you were trying not to use red, it's not a bad choice, but something else could have been better...' he replied...
I then spent quite a while asking him for tips on fashion styling!

styling ideas.... hmmm......
There is an event coming up this wednesday night with the dress code 'picture perfect'.
So basically wear something nice.... and looks good in pictures...
So I'm thinking what to wear, and more importantly how to style it.
There are a few things in my wardrobe that haven't been worn to any event yet. A stella mccartney dress, a pucci dress, a jewelled burberry top... just have to think which will i feel most comfortable in...
hmmmmm......
So basically wear something nice.... and looks good in pictures...

Aromatherapy for cats?!
On the back of Tippex neck, his fur is balding. So I asked my vet Hasnul about it.
"He is suffering from stress and anxiety. I could prescribe anti depressants but unless you solve the cause of his stress, it won't help. So i suggest you try buying ambi pur aromatherapy for cats. but it's only available in australia and the US.' he explained to me..
What?! Aromatherapy for cats??!!! And what is he stressed about?!
Basically the cat politics in my house stresses him. Schizo hates everyone, Lord and Loco are best friends and enemies, Joberg is scared of everyone... and poor Tippex is somehwere in between.
I have heard from my neighbour that he is hanging out a lot at my neighbour's house. Probably to de stress.... maybe they have aromatherapy for cats there...
Loco caught a big lizard that looked like a baby monitor lizard as a present for mother's day. He was showing it off to us in the garden but we threw it away in the corner of the garden. He was so annoyed that we didn't show enough appreciation for his efforts, that he found the lizard again and this time made sure we looked at it. By placing it in the kitchen. How do we know it was the same lizard? cause it was decomposed... ewwwww...

The things we do for our cats....
I know there are many people out there who just love their cats so much and totally spoil them and do everything they can to look after them well...
Here are some ACTUAL stories from people I know on the things they have done for their cats...
Story One
My friend arrives home to see their apartment building on fire. His first thought... his cat. He ran into the building, ran up 8 flights of stairs through the smoke (the fire was on the sixth floor) and grabbed his cat and a backpack to put him in to keep him safe. Luckily the fire was contained to just two apartments. My friend's apartment, all his belongings and most importantly, he and his cat, are all safe. But he gets many gold stars from me for running into a burning building to get his cat out to safety.
Story Two
Another friend spent RM 6000 on chemotherapy for her cat who had cancer. She lived an extra 3 years because of the treatment, which was all worth it for her.
Story Three
My Mum's friend found a cat here in Malaysia. A warung cat. When she had to move back to New York, she took the cat with her. The following is from an email she sent my mum recently about her cat..
"Our Malaysian cat had a rash on her neck so we decided to take her to the vet. We put her in her carrier and off we went in the car. A few days later she came down with a cold; sneezing and runny eyes. It lasted about a week. She's fine again and the rash is also gone. We forget that she is a Malaysian tropical cat who doesn't like the cold. She has two electric beds in the house so she can stay warm without problem, but we really need to be careful about exposing her to the outdoors in winter.'
Not bad for a Malaysian warung cat huh?! Now living in New York with not one but two electric beds all to herself !!!

This is someone my brother new. He was living in Brazil with his wife when they decided to move to Malaysia. A few months before leaving, a stray cat appeared and wouldn't leave. They felt sorry for it, fed it and though they tried really hard not to let it into their lives, this cat eventually started sleeping in their bed. When the time came for them to move to Malaysia, with a heavy heart and very reluctantly they gave it to a friend and came here. Within just a few weeks, the wife was depressed and crying because she missed the cat. Can you guess what the husband did?
He flew back to Brazil to bring the cat to Malaysia.

Beautiful portrait
Above is a beautiful hand drawn with colour pencils portrait of my cats... well, four of them... It was after I ordered this that I found Loco... Let's just hope he doesn't notice!
